Chrysler is recalling 9,655 full-size vans to prevent accelerator pedals from sticking, which could lead to unintended acceleration, reports The Detroit News.
The automaker will recall its 2014 Ram ProMaster vans to resolve a condition that may allow an accelerator pedal to stick in the wide-open position if force is applied at an angle, the newspaper said.
The recall covers 7,935 vehicles in the U.S.; 1,437 vehicles in Canada; and 283 in Mexico. Approximately half of all affected vehicles are in dealer hands.
No injuries or accidents were reported.
The issue was discovered during testing at a Chrysler facility, where a driver applied downward force at an angle.
