It now seems as if Chrysler are not going to offer a convertible version of their new 2015 200 sedan.
A Chrysler spokesman said that the reason why they’re not offering the convertible version is because the company is not willing to spend money on making the major structural modifications needed to turn the four-door sedan into a two-door convertible, Left Lane News reports.
In an interview with Edmunds a company spokesman said” We decided we’d be putting our best foot forward by concentrating all of our available resources into the sedan versus dividing them between the sedan and a convertible”.
A Chrysler spokesman said that the Dodge will not get its own version of the 200.
One of their spokesman also said that” Our long-term plans include moving away from ‘sister’ vehicles to reduce overlapping products in dealer showrooms”.
