Chrysler has added six members to its board of directors, reports The Detroit News.
Among newly-appointed directors include former tobacco company CFO Hermann G. Waldemer.
Douglas Steenland, a former Northwest Airlines chief executive, will step down after five years on the board.
Currently, the company’s board has 13 members.
“I welcome this group of strong leaders to the board,” Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said. “Their collective experiences will help propel us forward as we begin to execute our five-year plan.”
