If you prefer your car’s with just a touch of sinister, Chevrolet wants to sell you a new Trax. Dubbed the Midnight Edition, Chevrolet has just created this special edition version of their compact crossover that teams black colors with some black, and then tops it all off with just some slightly darker black. Basically, take a black Trax, and then give it black wheels, black window trim, black door handles, and black beltline molding.
Things are brightened up a bit inside thanks to some gray accents on the seats and floor mats.
Aside from the extra dose of darkness, this machine is little more than a standard Trax in LTZ trim. That means that you get power seats, Chevrolet MyLink, 4G LTE service, a 1.4L turbocharged engine and a lot more.
Pricing is on the gentle side with the Midnight Edition Package adding just $500 to the Trax’s modest price. I think the entire idea of buying a Trax, let alone a special edition one, is a bit a silly, but with a claimed 20-percent market share Chevrolet obviously knows something I don’t. The new Midnight Edition will be available starting in February.
