Chevrolet has been on quite a roll with its new Cruze. Globally, GM has managed to sell more than 1 million vehicles since its release in 2009. A big portion of these numbers comes from European countries, and what do European countries really like? Wagons.
So to expand the model line, and the Cruze’s European appeal, Chevrolet will be debuting the newest member of the Cruze family – the wagon – at the Geneva International Auto Show in March. They have provided us with some details and a photo to tide us over until then.
Like most all of our wagon related news, U.S. citizens need not apply as the new wagon is not planned for North American sale.
The new lengthened Cruze is available with a new 1.4-liter Turbo gasoline or a new 1.7-liter diesel engine, as well as the current 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter gasoline engines. The 2.0-liter diesel has been treated to improvements.
The 1.4L, 1.7L, and 2.0L engines are all Euro 5-compliant and come standard with start-stop technology.
