Chrysler seems to have lost the Ram-brand President and CEO Fred Diaz to a senior management position at Nissan.
The news might be surprising to Chrysler, but great news for Nissan truck fans. Diaz took the reins of Ram in 2009 and has since done a respectable job with the newly minted brand.
The Ram 1500 has undergone several updates and upgrades, along with winning some prestigious awards, all under Diaz’s direction.
Diaz will now serve as divisional vice president for Nissan Sales & Marketing. So what does all this mean? Perhaps the venerable Titan will be getting a much needed makeover. Maybe the Frontier will become more competitive with an updated look and new capabilities.
At this point, it’s all a guessing game – and we’re excited about the possibilities.
