General Motors (GM) said that it fired Cadillac’s U.S. sales chief Chase Hawkins for violating company policy, reports Automotive News.
The company did not disclose the more details.
Hawkins was named U.S. vice president of Cadillac sales and service in June 2012. He most recently reported to Bob Ferguson, global vice president for Cadillac.
The matter was “more of a personal issue than a company violation”, Hawkins said in a brief phone interview.
Hawkins joined GM in 1996.
