General Motors said the Cadillac ELR plug-in luxury coupe will be priced at $75,995, when it goes on sale early next year, reports The Detroit News.
According to the automaker, the vehicle would cost $68,495 after a federal tax credit of $7,500.
The ELR’s total range is expected to be greater than 300 miles, while drivers can expect to travel on the ELR’s electric battery for about 35 highway miles. Certified figures from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are not yet available, GM said.
Production on the luxury coupe at the company’s Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant is expected to begin in December and it should hit dealer lots nationally in early January, according to Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell.
