Lego is one of the greatest inventions in the world as far as I am concerned. The tiny interlocking bricks have created things big and small, great and insignificant, beautiful and awkward. If you can think it, you can build it, and that even applies to cars. While building cars from Lego is not a new trend, in recent years the Lego company itself has been producing extremely detailed models of cars under their “Creator” line for anyone to buy. The first of these was a replica Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, which was then followed by the Mini Cooper model. Now they have reached the holy grail of automotive models, the Ferrari F40.
Lego Creator Model 10248 is a full replica of the most famous Ferrari ever created, complete with details like working pop-up headlights, opening doors, full interior and rear engine access. The team has even created the model in such a way that the engine can be removed for display by itself. To ensure that the Ferrari F40 was as accurate as possible, Lego even went so far as to create special new pieces for the car, including custom wheel inserts that match the exact design used on the original F40.
The model itself is comprised of 1158 pieces, and when it’s assembled it measures 10-inches long and 5-inches wide. You can make one of these things your own for the low,low price of just $89.99, which makes it one of the cheapest ways to get your hands on a Ferrari. Check it out in the video below.
