Buick is getting ready to give its entire lineup a visual refresh, and the company has just teased its first new model, the 2017 Buick LaCrosse. Buick is saying that the new design language will mimic many of the cues found on the Avenir, and the first shot the released is a shadow look at the nose of the LaCrosse.
The new nose is much more modern and fresh the than the current car, and it takes on a much more muscular and square shape when compared to the relative round and bulbous front end on the current car. The new grille has straightened edges, and the outline is more hexagonal. You still get the waterfall in the center, but tis darker than before, and there is a single metal accent that runs the full width of the grille. In the center of the grille is a big bold Buick logo, and the shields are colored in again.
This new face should be on all Buick models before 2018.
Buick says that under the new sheet metal the new LaCrosse will also ride on a new platform that is lighter and more rigid than the current model. The new car will debut at the LA Auto Show in November.
