BMW has always had a knack for combining its cars with great advertising and artistic ventures. Just look at the multitude of “art cars” to see what we mean.
Recently, BMW has decided that it needs to start making post cards, and is using an M6 to do so. In the video below you can see the process of how engineers fitted a pressurized ink system to the car. The car is then driven across large sheets of cardstock taped to a track. The result is a unique post card with a real M6 tire tread print.
The cards have been mailed out to fans and enthusiasts of BMW’s venerable M marque. Click the play button and give the video a quick once-over. It’s a pretty impressive spectacle.
