BMW added another stallion in their stable of thoroughbreds this week at the North American International Auto Show. The M6 Gran Coupe is a new adaptation of the M6 convertible, bringing four doors and a solid roof to the 6-series lineup.
The M6 Gran Coupe is an amazing car in its own right – with 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque – but many BMW fans are concerned the M6 GC is too much like the M5, BMW’s other 560 hp four door sedan.
Both cars weigh roughly 4,299 lbs with a difference of a mere 11 pounds.
We have to ask the question: Can you ever have too many 560 hp sedans that do 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds? We think not.
The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 gives the M6 some amazing stats to accompany its handsomely good looks. No doubt this car would rank high with any driver considering a stint on Germany’s Autobahn, as it can easily reach its governed top speed of 155 mph. And like any good racehorse, this thing looks fast just standing still. See for yourself in the gallery below.
