After a very strong first quarter, BMW global is looking to expand further by hiring more employees. With record sales in BMW cars and motorcycles as well as increased turnaround of Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles, BMW group is looking rev-up production and needs all the help they can get. The majority of those 2,000 future employees will be stationed in Germany as their home town is where the largest market is.
“We have ambitious plans for 2011. We aim to deliver more vehicles than ever before – well over 1.5 million vehicles,” said Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG. That lofty number requires a lot of happy employees if BMW actually plans of deliver that many vehicles. In order to keep the extra hires in-house, BMW plans on jumping up its employee’s pay scale to exceed the previous pay record set in 2007. With the increase in pay and a larger-then-ever Christmas bonus, 2011 will mark record profit shares for BMW employees.
