BMW rolled out some minor updates to the 2014 Z4 Roadster at the Detroit Auto Show in mid January. The roadster is treated to new headlights, front fascia, and fender vents, along with several new color schemes.

The Z4 is powered by two different engines laying down three separate outputs: a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder making 240 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque in the sDrive28i, a 3.0-liter turbo inline six-cylinder making 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque in the sDrive35i, and a high-output version of the 3.0-liter making 325 hp and 332 lb.-ft. of torque in the sDrive35is.

The Z4 comes standard with Xenon headlights, automatic climate control, a soft-close feature on the rear trunk lid, and runflat tires. Also standard is an 11-speaker audio system with AUX-input. An optional sound system upgrade includes 14, higher-output speakers. Navigation tops out the option list with an 8.8-inch display and includes BMW’s iDrive. The nav system itself comes upgraded with high-resolution 3D mapping capabilities. iDrive comes equipped with a 12 GB hard drive allowing owners to store their music playlists.

The BMW Z4 is slated for dealers in spring 2013 with prices not yet being announced.
