Big news from BMW today, do you remember the M760i xDrive that we talked about a while back? You know, the one with the 600 horsepower twin turbo V12 in it? If not you will soon, BMW announced today that they are set to release the M760i along with an all new Alpina B7 at the New York auto show.
The Alpina B7 looks impressive on paper. Boasting a new 4.4 liter V8 that also puts down a remarkable 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque leading to a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds you’ll have all the power you could ever need. Also new to the Alpina is Integral Active Steering, which changes the ratio of the electronic steering rack to provide you with a dynamic driving experience, the steering can tighten up when you want it to should you decide to take the scenic route rather than the highway. While maintaining a performance based drivetrain, the B7 is built for maximum comfort on the highway. New aerodynamics and a sport luxury interior promise that you’ll ride at a comfort level only BMW can provide.
The New York Auto Show starts on March 25th and ends on April 3rd. Check back for live coverage from the show and be sure to check out our gallery for pictures.
