A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Jaguar’s newest machine, the XFR-S. At that time, all we had was a teaser shot and a few educated guesses to tell us about the new sedan. Now the flood gates have opened and we have all the details. Shod in the same neon paint as the XKR-S that debuted last year, the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S is a four door devil in a blue dress.
First is the engine, the supercharged V8 makes 550 horsepower and 502 lb/ft of tire destroying torque. Chassis stiffness is up by 30-percent and stiffer springs and dampers can be found on all four corners. To make sure the car has an engine note to match its laser blue paint, the new exhaust has been fitted as well. The car now sounds, and goes, like the equally insane XKR-S. Jaguar has been nice enough to release a wonderful little video of the new car driving and sliding around some great European mountain roads. Make sure to turn the speakers up to enjoy this new Jag’s growl. It may not be as devilish as the exhaust of the SLS AMG but it is more than enough to bring a smile to your face.
Aside from the paint, the car has a new more aggressive aero kit with exposed carbon fiber. We particularly like the new brake intake slats on the front corners. To the rear you will find the obligatory “LOOK AT ME!” wing to keep those fat tires planted at speed.
