The hot-rod version of the Audi A3 compact hatchback, the RS 3 recently won Sport Auto Magazine’s top spot on their “Sportiest Cars of 2011” list for its category. The list, which was decided by a reader’s survey, split high performance cars into categories based on their size. The Audi RS 3 won by a substantial margin: 40.1 percent and earned itself another award for the year. Not too long ago, the engine found under the hood (the turbocharged 340 horsepower 2.5 liter inline five cylinder) won an “International Engine of Year Award.”
