The Canadian design duo better known as DSQUARED² teamed up with Mini and BMW to create a very unique Cooper. Twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten revealed their Mini Cooper S Red Mudder at the Life Ball benefit celebration in Vienna. Built to withstand and survive the end of the world, the Red Mudder features a custom front guard, rally headlamps, tinted side windows with grilles and a spare tyre on the tailgate. The suspension has been raised to fit over-sized all-terrain tires and the interior is tough enough to take any amount of abuse. “Our MINI ‘Red Mudder’ is 100 per cent DSQUARED²,” said Dean and Dan.
Blasting past mud, dirt and the apocalypse is not the only prerogative of the Red Mudder. It was also built to help Mini support the fight of AIDS. This year marks the 11th time Mini has put together Europe’s largest AIDS charity event: Life Ball. Gery Keszler, the founder and organiser of the Life Ball, is impressed by this longstanding collaboration: “MINI has been a partner of the Life Ball for 11 years and each year it demonstrates anew its creativity, enthusiasm and passion for this good cause. This year’s Life Ball MINI designed by DSQUARED² provides further persuasive evidence of this.”
