Do you eat, sleep, breathe, and bleed all things Ferrari? Even if you don’t, listen up. Ferrari is busy trying to figure out how to expand the brand beyond the auto industry. What better way to attract fans and potential buyers than a Ferrari amusement park! There’s actually already one up and running in Abu Dhabi, but expect to see a new location in Barcelona, and another in China. We’ve even heard that there could be one here in the US in the near future.
The report comes from Bloomberg in a story about Ferrari’s new position as a publicly traded company and its ambitions to become a larger global luxury brand. It’s a pretty long and drawn out piece of reporting, but right at the end there is a lovely tidbit about how Ferrari’s best licensing success of the past few years have been with its amusement parks, and there are currently plans to build a fourth park here in the States. No details are actually given about when, or where, or who will build it, but we are going to keep digging to see what we can find out.
Would you spend money on Ferrari World over Disneyland? I know I would. Rather than being on rides designed for children, you can sit down in a replica F1 car and live your adult dream. Leave a comment below and tell us what you think, we’d love to hear from you!
