Ferrari has taken the covers off its latest project, a One-Off for a British customer, known as the 458 MM Speciale. Spied about a month ago testing at Fiorano, it was shown today, this time officially, at the Fiorano circuit with Ferrari’s chief test driver Dario Benuzzi, and the car’s owner at the wheel.

Although Ferrari never mentioned anything about the technical specs, we can assume it’s powered by a 597hp naturally aspirated V8 and a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox like the 458 Speciale it takes its name from.

Designed in-house by the Ferrari Styling Centre with completely custom aluminum and carbon fiber bodywork and a striking Bianco Italia paintjob with an Italian flag stripe, this custom Stallion certainly looks the part. The changes from a normal 458 Speciale include black painted A-pillars for a ‘visor’ effect, a new side air scoop, radically modified aerodynamics on the front and back, a beautiful spoiler integrated into the body (trying to resemble a 288 GTO, which is not a bad thing to take styling from), and even a new beltline. Along with the custom bodywork there are completely exclusive wheels, a custom Cioccolato leather interior with white stitching, white satin rings around the controls, and an enhanced audio system.

The 488 may technically be the new darling on the block, but this proves that the older 458 still has the goods to win hearts and wallets of enthusiasts.
