For years Porsche has offered a European Delivery option. Order a new Porsche. Travel to Zuffenhausen or Leipzig, tour the facilities and pick up your new car. Drive said car around Europe for a while and then deliver it to a port where it is shipped to you, wherever you might live.
Many Americans have taken advantage of this program, but many have not. For whatever reason, some Americans prefer to stay in the States, so they don’t get the chance to have a special Porsche experience. I’m sure the cost and time associated with flying to Germany to pick up a car didn’t help things along.
But what if I told you that you don’t have to travel to Germany anymore to get a special pickup experience for your new Porsche?
Porsche now offers a brand new delivery program at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta. Order your Porsche at your local dealer and make sure to add the New Vehicle Delivery Program on the option sheet. Go ahead. The experience itself is free. All you have to do is get yourself to Atlanta.
When you arrive you’ll get a tour of the Experience Center, a vehicle orientation with your own car and a delivery specialist, lunch at Restaurant 356 and 90 minutes on the driver development track in a Porsche.
Details aren’t really clear right now as to whether you drive your car home from the delivery or they ship it to your dealer, but we have a word in with Porsche and are just awaiting a response.
For those of us lucky enough to live within a day’s drive of Atlanta, or willing to make a longer drive home after picking up their car, this latest delivery option is exciting news.
