Take one beautiful woman who loves fast cars, and put her in a beautiful car that can crack 200 mph. From there, just set up some cameras, give the two of them a safe place to stretch their legs and record what happened. This is basically all Jaguar had to do create the best F-Type SVR video we have seen to date. The British marque drafted Michelle Rodriguez of Fast and Furious and Avatar fame, and let her tear loose with their fastest-ever series production car. The result was an indicated 201 mph, and grins all around.
Hilariously enough, before this point, the fastest Rodriguez had ever been in car was 140 mph. As for the experience, Rodriguez said, “Driving this car was insane! I’ve now broken my personal speed record in the beautiful Jaguar F-TYPE SVR. Reaching 201mph felt amazing, the car drove really smoothly, all my corrections were minimal, I was super focused, and it really reacted in all the right ways. I don’t think I’d ever go this fast without a professional driver seated next to me, but oh man, it was an incredible feeling.”
I for one couldn’t think of a better car to do the deed in. My personal best on a closed course is 186. Maybe Jaguar can throw me an F-Type SVR for a day so I too can join the 200 mph club.
