When Kia revealed the Telluride concept car in Detroit, I was absolutely floored. It was powerful, interesting and filled with the kind of technology that I had never seen in a passenger car before. I thought it was the single most interesting machine that Kia has ever made, and it was one of the stand outs of the Detroit Auto Show. Kia brought the concept to the Chicago Auto Show last week as well, and I took some extra time to look at it a bit deeper.
Helping me with this closer look was Kurt Kahl, the head designer on the Telluride Concept project. I had Todd walk me through his favorite design pieces on the exterior, picked his brain about the future applications of items like the smartcloth seats, and tried to pry a bit about the future of Kia design going forward. If this machine intrigued you half as much as it did me, you need to watch this video. Enjoy.
