2014 Porsche Cayman S Review
2014 Porsche Cayman S Review

A big congrats goes out to Porsche this month. When Decemeber first rolled into view, Porsche began to tally up its total car sales and for the first time in the brand’s history the German company surpassed 200,000 sales. The company has been setting sales records almost constantly for the last few years, but with last year’s total sales capping at less than 190,000 it seemed like a stretch that Porsche would cross that magical 200k mark in 2015.

This year the company has seen some massive growth in certain key markets like Europe and China which both posted year over years gains of 30-percent or greater. The grand total for sales so far in 2015 is 209,894. If sales continue at the same average rate they have all year, Porsche may actually clear a nice round 225k cars for 2015.

If you are curious why I am so excited about a company’s sales figures, it’s simple. Porsche makes some of the best sports cars in the world, and it’s one of the few companies that are still pushing to advance the science and engineering of the manual transmission. The more they succeed, the better the world will be as far as I am concerned. The world needs more 911s and Cayman GT4s.
