The McLaren MP4-12C is officially dead as a production model. Just mere weeks after McLaren “paused” production to fulfill the massive influx of orders for the 650S, they have decided to end 12C production all together.
In a move that we wish more automotive companies would embrace, current 12C owners who feel left out from all the cool advancements of the 650S are getting free upgrades. Yes, FREE upgrades. A new Technology Upgrade that will be available starting in June brings new Active Aero software with an Airbrake software change and a new DRS system. The in-cabin IRIS system also gets an upgrade.
For even more 650S goodness, McLaren is cutting the price of upgrades like the reversing camera and the DAB radio system for current 12C owners.
