The Nissan GT-R has always provided world-beating performance, but the feather in its cap was providing that speed for a bargain price. Each year the performance of the GT-R has increased along with the price, but it has always managed to keep under that magical $100,000 mark.
That all changes later this year with the 2015 GT-R. The official MSRP of the newest Godzilla is $101,770, a $2200 bump over last year’s price. The Black Edition car also sees a $2200 bump to $111,510. The Track Edition car holds steady at the same $115,710 asked for it this year.
Nissan says the price increase is to cover the new standard equipment like Bose Active Noise Cancellation and LED headlamps. The suspension has also been revised for the 2015 model to provide a “more sophisticated ride.” When I drove the 2013 car for our review, my biggest complaints were interior noise and harsh ride, so I look forward to seeing how the new car improves on that.
