Chevrolet said it will bring several concept cars to this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show starting next month in Las Vegas.
The General Motors’ unit plans to unveil three Sonics and a Spark EV concept.
The Spark EV Tech Performance concept builds on the pure electric minicar’s 400 foot-pounds of torque. It has more acceleration and weight reduction, said Sandor M. Piszar, director of strategy and planning for GM performance vehicles and motorsports.
The automaker also will show a Ricky Carmichael All-Activity Sonic concept, which is finished in satin black and has custom graphics and green accents around parts such as the grille and wheels. A Sonic RS concept, dressed in a lemon yellow exterior with blue graphics and blue painted accents, includes updates to the engine, suspension and brakes.
