Volkswagen Group has appointed Ulrich Hackenberg as Audi’s head of technical development.
Hackenberg replaces Wolfgang Duerheimer who will move to another position within the VW Group.
Hackenberg will also be promoted to head of technical development for all VW Group brands. He has been development chief for the core VW brand since 2007.
Heinz-Jakob Neusser will succeed Hackenberg as VW brand development chief. Neusser will also retain his current job as VW Group powertrain development boss.
The changes are effective July 1, 2013.
