The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating Ford F-150 pickups with EcoBoost engines, ABC 7 News reported.

According to the news report, drivers of those pickups say that EcoBoost engines lose power during acceleration.

The investigation involves around 400,000 F-150 pickups made from the 2011 through 2013 model years.

Recently, Ford owners in Ohio and Louisiana states sued the company in federal court, “claiming the EcoBoost engine is defective because it loses power during acceleration.”
