Earlier this year VW announced they would be bringing out a special edition Fender branded Beetle, and now they have opened the information floodgates. The new car will be hitting showrooms soon with a price of $24,440 for the base Beetle 2.5L Fender Edition with a more potent Beetle Turbo Fender Edition ringing in at $28,130. Both cars come standard with three pedals, but the DSG automatic is an available option.
The Fender Edition packages gives the Beetle a 400-watt Fender branded stereo, V-Tex leatherette seats with cool cloth accents and the gorgeous trim with sunburst color design. The cars are also only available in black, Deep Black Pearl Metallic to be exact, and come loaded with lots of shiny chrome bits. Those shiny bits are the “Disc” wheels, chrome mirror caps and the Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED running lamps.
