For the 2013 model year, Nissan has pushed its current generation Z car even further. While it carries a new face, new feet and new eyes, the 370Z is still the honest-to-goodness sports car it’s always been. Available in coupe, convertible and NISMO form, the two door uses the beefy 3.7 liter VQ engine, two performance transmissions and rear wheel drive all while looking perfectly up-to-date. With a starting MSRP of $33,120, the 2013 Nissan Z cars can put to shame a lot of equipment for a still reasonable price.
Nissan is currently sending the revised cars to U.S. dealerships. As they arrive, four versions of the Coupe, three versions of the Convertible and one Nismo will be available. The hard tops come in base six speed manual (6MT), base seven speed automatic (7AT) and two Touring variants. The extra gear and one less pedal will cost an additional $1,300 while upgrading to the Touring models will cost $4,700. Powering all Coupes is the 332 horsepower VQ37 V6 engine and to put that power to the ground better, the available Sport Package adds new 19 inch wheels and stiffer tuned suspension. Dropping the 370Z’s top will cost $41,470 which only gets buyers the seven speed auto. Getting a clutch pedal in a Convertible can only be done with the Touring model which starts at $44,170. Getting a Touring seven speed will cost $45,470.
Joining the Coupe and Convertible is the NISMO which will go for $43,020. Using a less restrictive tune, the h0t-rod Z pumps out a stout 350 horsepower and is only offered with the six speed manual. Fitted with functional aero body parts, the NISMO also uses exclusive 19 inch RAYS forged wheels, Yokohama ADVAN tires and a limited slip differential to separate itself from the other 370s. Different springs and sway bars as well as a specially trimmed interior rounds off the package.
Each version of the 2013 Nissan 370Z can be fitted with a variety of packages. Options range from navigation, back up camera, bluetooth and a Bose supplied stereo. Adding to the car’s new bumper, LED headlamps and wheels are two all-new colors: Magma Red and Midnight Blue.
