Since its first annual introduction in 1989, Motor Trend Magazine’s Truck of The Year award has been given to one pickup more than any other. For the fourth time, America’s best-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, has earned the prestigious title. The truck, which has gone through some seriously innovative changes for the 2012 model year, took the prize for its excellent blend of power, capability and efficiency. When fitted with the recently released 3.5 liter EcoBoost v6 engine, the F-150 can spin its tires to oblivion and or average best-in-class fuel economy.

“F-150s are built to work and felt better the more they were challenged. Ford offers an enormous variety of configurations and designs, making the truck tailorable to just about any need. It’s the combination of advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value, and the performance of intended function that has earned the Ford F-150 the title of Motor Trend’s 2012 Truck of the Year,” said the editors at Motor Trend. With four engine choices ranging from a snorting 411 horsepower 6.2 liter V8 to a 23 mpg 3.7 liter V6, an F-150 can be built for practically any job.
