If you have been paying attention to our car reviews, you will have noticed that the 2016 Mazda Miata is one of the best cars we have driven all year. It seems that we weren’t the only journalists that are smitten with the new roadster, as the MX-5 was just crowned Car of the Year Japan.
The car received the honor thanks to its combination of beautiful new design, back-to-basics engineering and performance, and of course its fun driving dynamics. Mazda is not exactly new to the Car of the Year Japan awards, as the 2016 MX-5 marks the sixth time the plucky little Zoom-Zoom brand has taken home this particular trophy.
Bravo to Mazda for creating an incredible car, and congratulations on the well-earned award.
