The newer, faster and more exciting Lotus Evora 400 is the most exciting product in the company’s current lineup. Official pricing for the new 2-door is $89,000, which considering this is the fastest and most powerful road car Lotus has ever produced. The supercharged Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V6 has been pushed to make 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That is enough power to reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and it gives the Evora 400 a top speed of 186 mph.
If you want supercar feel and performance without going into bankruptcy in a few years, this Lotus appears to meet your needs on paper. The car was announced back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, and it will be going into production soon. European buyers can place their orders now, and should expect deliveries in August. North America has to wait until December to snag their Evora 400s, and the folks in China are forced to wait the longest, with delivery time quoted as a rather vague “early 2016.”
