The rumor from yesterday has been confirmed with an official press release from Toyota. Starting 2015, Lexus ES350 will be assembled at Toyota’s Georgetown, KY plant. This will be the first time that a Lexus vehicle will be assembled in the United States.
According to the release, aout 50,000 Lexus vehicles a year will be produced, bringing the plant’s total annual production capacity to more than 550,000 vehicles. This is also the first time that the ES will be produced outside of Japan. There was also no mention of the ES300h so that will still be built in Japan.
