The Fiat 500 has suddenly grown much larger. The Italian company has just released the Fiat 500L. Having grown by 26 inches in length and another 6 inches in height and girth, the newest 500 boasts a 42-percent increase in interior space. That means the EPA now classifies it as a large car.
Thankfully, the only engine available to move the massive 500 is the 160 horsepower mill from the fiat 500 Abarth. Transmission choices include a three-pedal manual or a dual-clutch automatic, each with six forward gears.
The Fiat 500L seen here is the Trekking model. It features unique front and rear fascias, and some sweet looking 17-inch alloys to separate it from the base 500L. It also features a set of dark plastic bumpers and side moldings, a la Subaru Outback.
