When Volvo introduced the world to its family hauling SUV, it redefined what people expected from family transportation. Just as Volvo owned the market on wagon practicality, it had seemingly cornered the kid hauler segment. To maintain its dominance, the 2013 model has been updated with a multitude of visual and safety features.
The XC90 now has full exterior color coordination instead of the black and silver bumpers and skidplates of models past. This gives the new XC90 a cleaner and more luxurious look, but does reduce some of its off-road practicality. Daytime running lamps and taillights have been upgraded to brighter and more efficient LED models while the front bumper bar ad taillight trim get treated with brightwork. The wheels have also been upgraded to an 18-inch “Thalia” design. There also two new exterior color choices Twilight Bronze Metallic and Flaminco(sic) Red Metallic.
R-Design cars receive the same full color coordination package and LED upgrades, but add 19-inch “Ixion” design alloy wheels.
All XC90s now come standard with rain sensing windshield wipers and headlight washers.
